  4. Cook County in Illinois gets some of the wildest weather in history. Like the Groundhog day Blizzard of February 1st though February 3rd, 2011. Over 22 inches of snow covered the entire area. Lakeshore drive is filled with snow for several hours and it got shut down because of the blizzard. Many people got trapped in their vehicles. Almost everything is closed for three days. That storm is quite possibly the worst storm that ever happened to the city of Chicago and suburbs since the blizzard of 1967.
